The sculpture SÓLFAR (Sun Voyager) by the artist Jón Gunnar Árnason, is a steel creation made to resemble a VIKING SHIP, it’s located in Reykjavik, Iceland just outside the Old Harbour. It’s probably the most photographed sculpture in Reykjavik. (via)

Dallol Volcano

Sulfur, salt, and other minerals color the crater of Dallol, a volcano in the hottest place on Earth, Ethiopia’s Danakil Depression. At 157 feet (48 meters) below sea level, Dallol is also the world’s lowest land volcano.
